CSTE aims to increase the quality of Annual Conference abstract submissions, ensure consistency among abstract reviewers, and prepare presenting authors to share their findings.

Lesson 1 How to Write an Abstract for the CSTE Annual Conference

By the end of the lesson, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the formats of abstracts accepted
  2. Explain how to translate public health practice into the required abstract format
  3. Evaluate sample abstracts.

Lesson 2 How to Review an Abstract for the CSTE Annual Conference

By the end of the lesson, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the abstract review process 
  2. Assign scores for each of the 4 criteria using the scoring scale 
  3. Provide detailed comments for the reviewing committee
  4. Submit an abstract review in the Confex system
