Overview of Health Information Technology (Health IT) and Health IT Certification

This is a foundational training that provides background on health information technology (Health IT) certification, including what it is, how the space has evolved, where we are now, and its impact on public health practice.

No prior knowledge or expertise in health IT or certification criteria is required. This training is informational and designed to support future engagement with the certification process. We do, however, recommend viewing the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) training (How Federal Policies are Made) for those who may be unfamiliar with the federal process for rulemaking because CSTE members are frequently asked to comment on proposed changes to the certification process as documented in NPRMs.

This presentation was created and presented by Kahuina Consulting.
